Mayor Ric Renders his State of the Municipality Address (SOMA) Year 1
True to his promise to his constituents for a responsive, accountable and transparent governance, Bayambang's Mayor Hon. Ricardo M. Camacho rendered a State of the Municipality Address (SOMA) on his first year in office as Local Chief Executive (LCE).
Conducted on the day of President GMA's own SONA on July 28, 2008, Mayor Ric enumerated the numerous gains of his first year in office. Notable among his major and visible accomplishments are the construction of a Multi-Purpose Municipal Annex Building , Solid Waste Management Facility, Engineering Building with landscaped surroundings, shaded lane/catwalk for the Bayambang National High School Students, installation of streetlights along the Quezon Blvd. , construction of fruit stands and numerous medical/dental missions which served thousands of his Kababayan. He presented all these via a slide presentation.
Observers agreed that Mayor Ric Camacho made another “first” as he rendered his Address during a special session of the Sangguniang Bayan with thousands of Bayambangueños in attendance from various sectoral groups and heads of government institutions/agencies. Preceded by a Thansgiving Mass, Mayor Camacho's SOMA covered various areas of local governance such as Administration and Executive Leadership, Social Services, Agricultural and Fishery Enhancement, Environmental Management and Ecological Concerns and Economic Development.
He vowed to initiate and implement more projects to benefit his Kababayan as he appealed for their sustained support and that of the Sangguniang Bayan Members under the leadership of the Presiding Officer, Hon. Mylvin T. Junio, Municipal Vice-Mayor.
Hon. Romeo H. Dadacay, Provincial Board Member, 3 rd District of Pangasinan graced the special affair by delivering a congratulatory message.
