LGU-Bayambang formally accepted its hard-earned ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System) Certification from Certification Partner Global – Philippines, at the awarding ceremony held on August 16, 2023, at the Balon Bayambang Events Center, with all LGU officials and ISO champion-employees in attendance.
In her acceptance speech, Mayor Niña Jose-Quiambao recalled the LGU’s ISO journey, which was characterized by many ups and downs, eventually culminating in the euphoria of victory on the final audit day of July 21, 2023.
She thanked everyone who was involved in the difficult road to ISO certification, from former Mayor Cezar T. Quiambao and SB members, to the Quality Management Representatives, namely Executive Assistant Ma. Carmela Concepcion Atienza-Santillan and Deputy QMR, ICT Officer Ricky Bulalakaw, and the rest of the department heads under Municipal Administrator,
Atty. Rodelynn Rajini S. Vidad, and all ISO champions and the rest of the LGU employees.
“After this certification, we can now begin the actual work of making sure that we maintain our level of service to the desired standards set by ISO. After all, ISO is not about us; it is all about our constituents, our fellow Bayambangueños whom we wish to serve with the best possible kind of public service there is,” Mayor Niña concluded.
Among the well-wishers outside LGU were Congresswoman Rachel Arenas, through here representative, Jessica Gueco, Governor Ramon ‘Monmon’ Guico III, and Vice-Governor Ronald Lambino. Also present were mentors from NEO-AMCA led by Atty. Ethelwolda Cabailo-Aldea and Ma. Melanie Olbita, the General Manager of Certification Partner Global – Philippines.
Governor Guico said that all LGUs in Pangasinan should follow Bayambang’s lead, that all towns may have a clear framework from which to base their day-to-day operations through an established, globally certified Quality Management System.
